Refugees have been coming to Australia since early 19th century. They are our neighbours, co-workers and friends. They contribute to our economy, social development and cultural diversity, reinforce our humanitarian values and provide a connection to other parts of the world. This website uses images and the spoken and written word to share the "Australian stories" of 12 refugees who came to Australia from different parts of the world, at different times in history and have made this country their home.

Are you a refugee who would like your story featured on this website? If yes, email nikolabalvin AT yahoo.com.au
